Basement finishing

Basement Finishing and Remodeling

The cheapest square footage you will ever add, because the shell is already there.

Space you already own

Almost Every Home Here Has One, and Half Are Still Unfinished

A large share of the basements in this part of Colorado are still unfinished, or were finished badly in the 1980s.

Finishing one adds real living space at a fraction of what an addition costs, and it does not change the footprint of the house.

What a basement project includes

From Bare Concrete to a Room You Use

  • Framing and insulation

  • Drywall, texture and paint

  • Flooring

Usually carpet over pad, with vinyl in the wet areas.

  • Lighting and electrical

    Through licensed trades.

  • Egress considerations

For any room that will be used as a bedroom.

  • Bathroom rough-in and finish

    Where the plumbing allows it.

What we check first

Moisture, Before Anything Gets Framed

A basement that takes water in spring has to be dealt with before anything gets framed, and we would rather tell you that at the walkthrough than after the drywall is up.
